Melina Harmelin MD
Dr. Melina Harmelin is a board certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. After Graduating with her BA in Anthropology from UCLA, she completed her BS In biology at the University of Pennsylvania and then received her medical degree from St. George's University. She trained in Pediatrics at Inova Children's Hospital in Falls Church Virginia. Dr Harmelin joined South Philadelphia Pediatrics in 2016 and returned to SPP in 2024 after taking time off to spend time with her family. In the interim, she traveled internationally with the Philadelphia Girls Choir to care for their medical needs while on tour, as well as overseeing COVID testing for the choir during the pandemic. Dr. Harmelin also has extensive experience in pediatric emergency care, having served on staff in pediatric emergency departments and urgent care centers throughout her career.
