Our Providers

Dr. Kefer grew up on Long Island, New York and graduated from The Johns Hopkins University with a BA in biology. She attended medical school and completed pediatric residency upstate New York at The University of Rochester. 

While passing through the area many times, there were trips to Philadelphia during college (coxing at the Dad Vail Regatta) and medical school (Billy Joel at the Spectrum and first trip to the Liberty Bell) that planted seeds in her mind.  Philadelphia with its culture, soul, inhabitants and medical excellence enchanted her and is now the home where she has lived longer than any other.
 
South Philadelphia Pediatrics was her first job out of training. Joining a well established practice and being part of its transformation over the years has been part of her lifetime dream.

Dr. Kefer became the managing partner of the practice in 2012.  She met and married her husband Adam and they learned about the parenting side of pediatrics together. They reside in Queen Village with their two children where Dr. Kefer enjoys living and working in the neighborhood that she serves – where a trip to Target will turn into a reunion.
 
If not at work or biking to/from or in between the offices, you’ll likely find her at her synagogue, attending theater or sitting out back with neighbors planning the next phase of her career.
